Hello and welcome. I’m Shyam Sunder Bhartia, Founder and Chairman of Jubilant Bhartia Group—a diversified global enterprise with business interests spanning pharmaceuticals, life sciences, food services, chemicals, and consulting.
For over four decades, I’ve dedicated my professional journey to building businesses that create long-term value, empower people, and deliver sustainable impact for society. Under my leadership, the Jubilant Bhartia Group has become a globally respected name, employing over 46,000 people across 100+ countries.
My Background
I began my entrepreneurial journey in the early 1970s, driven by a vision to make India a global hub for innovation, science, and manufacturing. With a background in commerce and a passion for transformation, I established Jubilant Bhartia Group with the belief that businesses should do more than generate profits—they should uplift communities and nations.
What I Do
As Chairman of the Group, I oversee the strategic direction of our core businesses:
- Jubilant Pharmova Ltd. – Pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals
- Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. – Franchise of Domino’s, Dunkin’ and Popeyes in India
- Jubilant Ingrevia Ltd. – Specialty chemicals and nutrition
- Jubilant Enpro Pvt. Ltd. – Industrial and aerospace services
Beyond Business
I’m deeply committed to social responsibility through the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, which works in areas of:
- Rural healthcare
- Primary education
- Livelihood training
- Social entrepreneurship
The Foundation also partners with the Schwab Foundation (World Economic Forum) to promote and recognize changemakers in India through the Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Personal
I am married to Shobhana Bhartia, Chairperson of Hindustan Times Group. Together, we’ve built a legacy rooted in media, manufacturing, philanthropy, and nation-building. Our sons also play integral roles in our family businesses.
